An Underground Adventure in Rome: the PRISCILLA'S CATACOMBS

Visit to the Priscilla’s Catacombs on the Salaria Way. Developed out of a private underground chamber beneath the house of the gens Acilia, the Catacombs are believed to be named after Priscilla, probably the wife of the Consul Acilius, who became a Christian and was killed under the domination of Domitian. Inside it's possible to admire manies wall paintings of saints and early Christian symbols.
