Old Rome Walking Tour

Take a break from the crowds and traffic and discover Old Rome with me! I will guide you through the part of the eternal city that most tourists do not even know exist.

If you want to discover the secret heart of Rome, take this walking tour of the Jewish Ghetto and Trastevere district, starting from Largo Argentina and the Senate House where Julius Caesar was murdered, then walking through the Ghetto, discovering the ancient Portico D'Ottavia, the Synagogue, and some beautiful little squares where we can drink fresh water from the Tortuga's Fountain in Piazza Mattei. Finally we'll travel across the bridge and Tiber Island to reach the most interesting churches of the Trastevere district!

On this tour you will see the hidden ancient city below Rome's modern street level, and as Rome was not built in a day, a little bit of every time period in between, from Medieval to Renaissance.
